Hi, I am Rachel Levi, Certified Eating Disorders Treatment Specialist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I opened Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment in an effort to help woman and men recover from all forms of eating disorder and body image problems, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorders.
Since 1995, Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment has successfully helped individuals achieve recovery. We believe that our personalized, compassionate and integrated treatment from a multidisciplinary staff of eating disorder specialists, including therapists, dietitians and physicians - is at the heart of our approach, and has proven to be the optimal path to recovery.
At the core of our mission, we strive to help individuals find that place deep inside that wishes to break free from the debilitating, self imposed rules and obsessions of eating disorders and to live a happy, healthy and spontaneous life. Many times however, when clients first arrive at Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment, they do not exactly know what they want to achieve, if anything. Therefore, part of what we do is to help an individual imagine what recovery could be like, and assist them in deciding if recovery is truly what they want for themselves. Some people have been in their eating disorders for so long that they cannot on their own develop a concept of their life or identity without an eating disorder. Because we have seen numerous individuals over the years go from hopeless and rigid to balanced and hopeful we believe we can help you too.
We also understand that anorexia; bulimia and binge eating disorders can all have severe emotional, spiritual and physical consequences for those afflicted. The physical toll alone can put an individual's life and health in serious jeopardy. Our society has seen an overwhelming increase in the prevalence of eating disorders across all socioeconomic levels, ethnicities and genders. This has just reinforced our commitment to make eating disorder treatment programs and services available to those in need.

At Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment, we offer several different treatment programs and services for those who want to heal from disordered eating and thinking. Our newest addition is Satori House Eating Disorder Extended Care Residence. Satori House is our extended care / transitional living home that provides transitional and supportive living for eating disorder recovery within a structured, and nurturing environment. This level of care in combination with our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program is perfect for those who are trying to stay in recovery while easing back into healthy, independent lives. Together, Satori House Extended Care Residence and the Intensive Outpatient Program were designed to enhance the recovery process while also reducing the likelihood of relapse. For some, this will be the missing piece of their treatment, learning how to incorporate life. Other programs and services offered by Shoreline Center include: individual psychotherapy, individual nutrition counseling, and Intuitive Eating Psycho-educational Group, Alumni group and Family & Friends workshops.
Shoreline Center for Eating Disorders Treatment is easily accessed from both Los Angeles and Orange County, as we are located in the seaside community of Belmont Shore, within the city of Long Beach, CA. With the addition of Satori House Extended Care Residence, we are able to accommodate women from the United States and beyond.
