Eating Disorder NOS may be defined by a variety of excessive or dangerous eating behaviors and unhealthy attitudes regarding body image. Many of these behaviors are present in the above eating disorders.

Such behaviors include but are not limited to excessive exercising, laxative or diuretic abuse, binge eating and insulin manipulation in diabetic patients. While a person may not meet all criteria for Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa, he or she may still meet criteria for an eating disorder. Currently, Binge Eating Disorder is clinically diagnosed as Eating Disorder NOS.
